Bagged, running and driving chassis...

I'm going to throw this out here. I'm wanting to sell the drive train and everything out from under my '68...

Everything is/was new in May except the motor/trans/rearend.

I started driving this truck in May and I drive it every day.

It has:

CPP tubular upper and lower a-arms
CPP c-notch welded in
Early Classics 2.5 spindles
Early Classics rear trailing arms
Early Classics super track bar/shock relocator
New shocks from Early Classics
All new brake lines from Inline Tube
New rotors and calipers
New tie rods inners and outers
New Slam RE7's
Eight danz 1/2" valves
Five gallon tank in the back
All stainless hard lines front to back no leaks
Big block chevy
TH400 Trans
3.08 factory posi rear

What you don't get is the sheet metal (of course) the wheels and tires (might throw in the tires, but definitely not the wheels) and my Caddy air cleaner.

If there's any questions PLEASE feel free to ask. This is NOT the whole truck!

If there's anyone interested well work out the details on the phone.

I figure this is a good opportunity for some one to drive the truck before I pull it apart.

I'm asking $3,500. You can call me at 580 799-0607

Re: Bagged, running and driving chassis...

This is how the truck sits now. I drive the truck every day. It is my driver and it runs way rich as you can tell by the black soot on the ground. Other than that everything is great! I did have a problem when I got the truck first on the road where it lost oil pressure, but got it home safely and fixed the problem (pick up tube fell off) haven't had a problem since. The only oil leak is the pan on the big block which is like a dime sized spot over night not bad at all. You'll need to just come and check it out!

This is NOT the whole truck!!!! Just the drive train and chassis!!!

Re: Bagged, running and driving chassis...

if you decide to part it out I'd like to be considered the first candidate for the CPP upper & lower a arms.

thanks.

Re: Bagged, running and driving chassis...

Yesterday I messed with the carb a little. I think I fixed the rich start ups.
I made the choke stay open. I think it was choking it out. Then I went for a cruse about 130 miles. Ran great! Some one is going to want this!!!

Not for sure what the big block is... I was told its just a late model 454.

The story that I was told Is. I knew the truck that I pulled it out of for a long time. It first came to town with a fuel injected 502. The owner pulled it out and ran a 396 for a long time. Then sold the truck running to this local dude that I've know for a long time (it doesn't matter who he has do work for him he'll blow anything up) and he did. He sold the truck with a blown motor. To the guy that I got the truck from. That says he had a motor built by a local machine shop. Then I bought it.

It set in my shop for a few years while I was doing all the work to my truck. Then when I finally get it on the road and run it down the highway it lost oil pressure. Cause the pickup tube fell off. When I had the pan off everything underneath looked clean and fresh and before when I had the valve covers off... on top of the heads and under the intake was all clean (no sludge) which looks like it just had a overhaul. The motor is not radical at all, but you can tell that it has a little cam just by how it idles not big at all. It sounds and runs great. I'm just wanting to go lower and newer... Is why I'm selling it.
