Auto behind 235

I am building a modified 235 for my '48, cam, carbs, headers, and would like to have an automatic trans behind it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You can get this adapter plate from Langdon's
http://stoveboltengineco.com/index.p...roduct=1396439

and a similar one from Buffalo

If your 235 block has the necessary mounting holes, IMO it would be less work/money to use side mounts instead of the mid-mount plate shown in the above write-up. That 261 does have the holes, but I think the builder used the mid-mount because he already had it.
