What is the best fuel tank to use when moving your tank under the bed of a 53 with stock rear frame / I have classic instruments gas gage . Thanks

They make tanks that are designed to drop in.....but

I used a 79 GMC Jimmy tank, it's like 33gals, so gives you plenty of fuel.

then used a 90* elbow to filler in the bed floor

I was worried with the 90* elbow I would have problems filling the tank, but it fill's great.....the only problem is the cost to fill up that monster tank, lol.

We make a nice tank for the 47-54 trucks. They are aluminum, 19 gal. If you up for a new unit, these are really nice. The bolt in, and come with all the needed hardware.

www.nolimit.net I bought the tank and it is a very nice piece i would show pics but its covered with tape and cardboard to keep it from getting scratched.

I was going to use a 1st gen S10 blazer fuel tank in mine since they mount behind the axle and fit between the frame rails of the S10 frame, btw im using a S10 frame on my 50 project

I put a Pro Street fuel cell in mine. 16 gallons. The filler is in the bed. The pic from the rear shows how much you see it.

I keep hearing the mustang tanks work the best, but who has actually done one? Those aluminum ones are nice but too damn expensive.

I have seen pics of the mustang tank, it looks like a great fit. My big prob is fitting a tank and a 12 x 20 air tank in there too! I here a 67-69 nova is a decent fit, but I haven't seen a pic of it done.
