That's insane! That guy has some guts to stand next to the main blower belt when that thing is running full boost, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it if it blew!

Man that's awesome! He has almost $42,000 just in superchargers! I'd love to see that in a mod tractor and pulling in the Outlaw series.

Re: King Diesel (3,424hp)
I would like to put that engine in my motorhome. I could use it to tow my drag car to the track and leave the drag car on the trailer. Then I could run a 10 second pass in my motorhome...

Re: King Diesel (3,424hp)
It's a Detroit. It'll be smoking or coughing up oil in notime. I've got a co-worker that once told me, "if it ain't smoking or leaking, then there's something wrong with it." We've got an old dump truck on the farm with a Detroit and it leaves a cloud of smoke about 1/2 mile long. When you park it, it leaves enough oil to fill up a big block. Seriously though, that thing is an engineering marvel. The 9th wonder of the world!

Re: King Diesel (3,424hp)
I'm sure there are more one off custom built pieces in that engine than most would imagine. I'm sure the cylinder pressures are pretty crazy with 3 871's feeding each set of 8 cylinders. Normally these 2 strokes just use the blower for starting since they can not suck or draft air in on their own.

Re: King Diesel (3,424hp)
I've never heard of a V24 in a heavy duty road tractor. The biggest I've ever heard of were V-12's. Mainly Cats but a few Detroits V-12s as well. I'm guessing if this were to go in a semi, it will be extremely long.
