Harnalien's Build Thread
Well, after almost five years, I thought it was time to start a build thread. I've been meaning to, but just never got around to it. My truck is an '84 Chevy shortbed. I bought if off Ebay in Feb of '06. I wanted one of these for so long and was so excited to get one. Here are the pics of how it looked when I first got it and some of the little things I did. There is also a picture of the truck that I still use for inspiration.

Re: Harnalien's Build Thread
I did most of that work within the first year, but started to get the itch to swap engines. I decided to go with a vortec headed 350.

After the engine swap, I decided to go ahead and try my hand at a little bodywork.

Re: Harnalien's Build Thread
Thanks! I haven't got the hangers on yet because I don't have the right tools to knock the rivets out. I have been waiting until I got a sport bumper for the rear because I want to tuck it. So now I have the bumper, but I have to wait for it to get out of paint to take it to my buddy's house so we can do the hangers and bumper tuck at the same time.

Re: Harnalien's Build Thread
Thanks buddy! I debated going to a navy blue or a dark metallic grey, but couldn't find a picture of one that made me want to do it. White is the only color that I liked every time I saw it. I may add a burgundy or gray stripe to match the interior or wheels. I haven't decided yet.
