Re: cab exchange
I have an '87 cab that will be headed to Austin in a couple weeks. That would do the trick.

Re: cab exchange
Any 81-87 cab will work for you, regardless of bed length of the donor truck.

Re: cab exchange
yeap to be safe an 81-87 cab. long bed short bed 2wd 4x4 stick or auto. They can all work. Only thing would be if yours is a low hump like 2wd or auto, and the new one is high hump, no big deal, but if it's the other way round and you got a stick shift/high hump and you get a low hump cab you'll need to put the high hump in the low hump cab to make it work.

Re: cab exchange
84-up will have wipers on the column, and light switch will be moved to upper position also.

Re: cab exchange
83 is the last year for the wipers on the dash. It actually changes a couple of times. 73-4 is the same, and uses fiber optics for the backlighting, 75-83, then 84-up moves the wiper switch to the column. The switch changes a little around 79-80 from saying "washer-wiper) to a pictogram. Functionally interchangable, but a little different. Delay started somewhere around 77-78 also.

Re: cab exchange
I was wanting $400 for the cab. It is rust free, and looks to be wearing original paint. Here is a link to the parts thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=426242 there are some pics in there. I do have a clean Texas title also.
