Damn you lmc!!!!

Why do you have to be soo enticing with your magazine!?! I sat down to look up some front springs (PO heated mine to lower the truck, now I have death wobble). And now I have a CONSERVATIVE list of almost $300 worth of goodies that I now "NEED." Ugh. And that's with picking up this stuff in your showroom, no shipping needed! Guess it could be worse. I will be coming down next week with a shopping list.

You don't pick out things you need for your truck.

You just purchase things that your truck wants you to buy for it.

But that's how I explain it to the wife. "The truck NEEDS chrome headlight bezels or it won't look right."

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

At least you're close...my first order will be pretty spendy since I need 2 fenders, 2 inner fenders, 2 floorpans, 2 cab corners, 2 rockers, 2 kick panels, 1 stepside bed fender, gas filler neck, rad hoses, break hoses, fuel hoses, air cleaner, door patch panel, mirrors, tail lamp assemblies, gasket kits for cab and windows, sunvisors, glove box insert, rear bumper brackets, and the mounting kits for all the aforementioned parts...and that is just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure....

Go into her closet, count her shoe collection. Easy $50.00 a pair. Check out the make up table (don't even try to put a price on that stuff). Use that ammo next time she gives you any sass about what your ol' gal needs to be pretty.

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

If it gets to be too costly, try uship.com. I could pick up the parts and hold them for you until you get a shipping bid that you want to accept. You basically list what you have to ship, and if a semi is going your way with room, they can bid on shipping your stuff to you. Check it out. Works with whole cars too.

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

Their "one stop shopping" is convenient but before you buy from LMC be sure to price compare with CPP http://www.classicperform.com/
LMC buys springs from CPP and marks them up, $70 in the first hand experience I had with them back in 2008.....

I hope this helps!

I bought a bunch of parts for my '65 Chevy from LMC before Christmas. I competitively checked prices on all of the items before placing the order except for the rear coil springs. The springs were $170.

When I got the parts the quality of everything looked good. The springs had a "CPP" Classic Performance Products sticker on them. I looked them up on the internet, the springs were $100.00

A $70 mark-up by LMC? What the ?@#!!

I called them, informed them of the 70% mark-up and asked them what they could do to make it right? The gal snapped back "we don't do price matching!".

I sent the coil springs back to LMC and bought them from CPP.

Even though I had to eat the shipping charges I still recouped some of my losses.

Now I fully understand that this is my bad, I should have checked around. But I still feel that LMC is price gouging on this item. There are a lot of other options for pieces parts; you can bet I won't pick LMC as my first choice in the future.

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

Thanks John. I'm always looking for the BBD (bigger better deal), so I will definitely check into them. Front springs were on my list of expenses too! Thanks a million!

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

You guys ever look at the Bad Deals and Review Board forums? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=26

Seems like there are issues with some CPP kits and components?

Re: Damn you lmc!!!!

Don't get me started on CPP... BAD!!! Just google or search about CPP... it's not good, and I am speaking from personal experience. I spent 3k with them and had to rebuy about 400.00 of the stuff because it was junk. Funny how they are still here as a vendor when so many people have had bad deals with them....
