Purchased. 67 CST, Check it.

Just bought my new money drain. New to the forum, thought I'd introduce myself here and show off the rig.

It's bone stock with a 327 w 400 turbo tranny. Someone told me the buddy seat and the giant window was an option in 1967, don't know much else about these things, it's a solid truck though. Tell me what you think.

That wooden bed needs to be replaced, I already put my foot through it, lol.

Re: Purchased. 67 CST, Check it.

Congrats on your 'new' truck and welcome from NorCal! It looks like a good solid straight truck.... are you going to drive it as is, or rebuild it stock, or...?? You'll find a tremendous level of expertise and lots of helpful people here.

A big window CST '67,... and buddy buckets?
Doesn't get much better for the 1967 model year.
Nice truck.
Keep us posted with some "progress pics".

Re: Purchased. 67 CST, Check it.

I plan to drive it as is for awhile.

I don't really like it when people lower a longbox truck, and I'm not really a 4x4 off-road guy. It does need a little body work, maybe a paintjob and and new bed.

I'm just considering my options at this point, I'll keep ya'll updated.

Re: Purchased. 67 CST, Check it.

looks to me like an awfuk truck, if you want to sell it pm me a price and I'll take it off your hands and save you the grief Nobody wants a big window 67, buddy buckets aren't desireable at all, and factory moulding that appears to be in good shape, why wouldn't I be jealous? can't wait to see it all cleaned up and restored, if you're gonna replace the box anyway this truck would be absolutely amazing as a swb lol

Welcome to the forum DeanMachine. I agree that LWB looks better lifted and SWB lowered. It's all about proper proportions. The purist will squeal, but I would locate a SWB frame and build it the way you want....

i say get a 72 font suspension and the rear axle off a 72 and swap it out get some 72 steele rims and then find your factory hub caps and run like that oh and maybe a rear sport bumper.anyways your truck is really nice everything was left alone and probably very salvage able hope to see a build thread
