I already have a project but I have never seen one in the PNW for sale.. it doesnt seem like the back side windows are like the usual conversions. but if all it needs is an engine tranny, it may be worth having.. idk

I like it.... it'd all depend on how well the fab work was done. Parting it out would get your money back... wish that was out here I'd go look at it... if it was good I would take that old lady home with me

Says it's an 81'. I don't think the real conversion you could buy at a dealer came until about 85'.

That is a home made extended cab, not a factory conversion. I would pass, near impossible to find extended cab interior and even if you did it wouldn't fit right since it is home made. Looks good from a distance though.

No one can answer correctly with those pics and that description. If the frame is done correctly, and the body conversion is usable thats a decent deal. If its a hack job, then its way too high.

My oldest proven conversion on record is 84. My research shows 84-86 as primary years for conversions, with a few 87 halfton and up to 1990 extended crew cab stragglers. Ive seen the dual windows before, but not the typical CVI conversion. It could have been built back in the day, but the frame having the correct length bed is different. I dont like the dual windows personally, but that can be changed. Has potential.

Really? What would be worth anything besides the core support and gril set-up?
Not trying to start an argument, but after doing my best to part out some 1/2 ton trucks it has been worth more to me to take them straight to the scrappers lately.

I have pictures on my old computer (and maybe on my work computer) of a 70's extended cab 3/4 ton 2wd that was on the local CL a few years back.
I almost bought it for the drivetrain.
I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the conversion work, but it looked the same as one I saw that was supposed to have been done by a conversion company.
I don't think the work ever looked very good, but it was covered up by panels/headliners so I think you don't see how bad it is.
But maybe someone that has one can verify that?

Ive got picks of 50s, 60s and 70s ex cabs, bur rhe only ones that I know of tha we mass produced were the 84-86. By mass produstion I mean 500 or more, prob is I cant find any more than 50 that still exist.
