Very productive day... (pic heavy)

Been meaning to take care of some truck love lately, so this week I was able to pull it in and rebuild the front end and do some rust prevention on the bottom of the doors. I kinda got carried away and spruced up both doors rather than just limiting myself to the bottoms.

I'll post some more pics once I get everything back together.

Replaced every moving part on the front end, including the brake hoses.

Decided to redo the steering wheel and paint the guages.

A while back I found some pristine door panels at pull a part, so I snagged them, painted them and put some of that sound dampener stuff on the back.

Looks good, did you get the cluster back together? I'd like to see how it looks painted green.

Re: Very productive day... (pic heavy)

Here are the completed pics. The gauges turned out a little darker than I thought they would... almost black. But when the sun hits it you can see the contrast and it looks good.

Re: Very productive day... (pic heavy)

Thanks for the compliments. For the front end parts, I just went down to the local 0'reilly's. Mostly McQuay Norris and some Master Pro stuff. Drove the truck to work today and it rides fine. The biggest difference? I sure feel the authority of the new springs and sway bar bushings. =) I don't hear anymore popping of bad ball joints either.

I've got a little bit more adjusting to do with the alignment to do yet, but it's definately an improvement.
