So a standard lwb bed is 8 ft long. A standard swb bed is 6 ft long. Anyone ever seen a medium wheelbase truck where it was modded into a 7 ft bed? I think that short beds looks to disproportional in length, and longbeds have too much of a work truck look because of the lengthy box. I want to start researching maybe shortening my lwb by a foot. Pictures would rule.

there's been a few get posted on here. 9 times out of ten though, they look funny since our eyes are trained to see one or the other. The best looking one I saw had the length taken out of the front of the bed/middle of the frame and the rear of the bed left alone

Any chance you saved some pics? I can't seem to find a single post referencing a compact longbed.

I thought I would try it and if it doesn't pan out I can just cut the 8 more off the back and make it a short bed
