1994 Heater fix/repair
I have a 94 Z71 with almost 300K and it is my second truck and does not get driven much. I noticed the other day when I push the heater control buttons that it takes forever for the air to change from vent or defrost to floor. Is this the control flap in the heater box? How hard is it to fix or replace or does it just need lubrication and how hard is it to get to? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 1994 Heater fix/repair
A little cold snap and we think our heaters are supposed to work without any issue.
It probably is the blend door, which is located behind the radio. Do a search of HVAC systems, or blend doors and you'll find a lot of info. Here's a pic of what is under the dash....

Re: 1994 Heater fix/repair
Watch the mechanism on the ductwork above the gas pedal move as you change the selection.
You may be able to see what is binding.
