heater question...
On my 97 K2500, regardless of where my temp controls are set, the dash vents ALWAYS blow hot air. I was thinking it may be the climate control itself, but I was curious if it was something else. defrost and floor vents work, but even when they are blowing that danged dash vent is still blowing hot air. makes it a PITA considering where the cup holder is. so, any ideas?

Re: heater question...
I'm going to guess that the blend door motor is not working properly. It is not unusual for this to be a problem. Here's a pic of an HVAC unit. The blend door is in the general area behind the radio. Do a search and you'll find numerous posts as well as some How-To instructions.

Re: heater question...
The temp door motor is the one in the center of the ductwork.
Remove the glove box and watch & listen for movement when you change the temp on the control. The motors are a high failure part. You can put your hand on it and feel if the motor runs or not.
