Dammit Chris. Ain't that just the luck.. You are right they should have to be fixin it. I dont' imagine it was anyone from your neighborhood. At least it is still driveable.

And I was going to wish you a happy bday. Some day huh?

Re: Got a late birthday present, not a good one either..

lol yep b-day was yesterday, had this happen this morning. Yea I could fix it pretty quick I think. I know my first time weld job held good, doing them cab corners, they hit right where I had they butt welded together. No cracks or seperation. I don't think they are from the imedate neighborhood, but we are looking, I do think they live close though, within a mile or 2, from what we were told. My dad is sure they'll be back by to go to the end of the alley and if so he said he's gonna block the road and see about what they say then.

Re: Got a late birthday present, not a good one either..

I got a Xmas present like that in 2005, while I was in the store shopping someone else was running away. Feel for ya, but in a hit-and-run you'll have an easier time getting money out of your own policy than if you succeed at tracking down the perp...

Re: Got a late birthday present, not a good one either..

got hit again!!!!

Yea last week, exactly one week ago the truck got side swiped, hit and run parked at dad's house. Today I was on this site and heard a loud noise, wife and I jump up, I see a jeep in the alley, and imediately call dad, he lives across the street, said check the truck, and hung up, ran out and found my driveway gate smashed up some laying againist his truck. The guy that hit it was out there and my wife, and he was trying to straighten to pole out hit bent, the one the gate attaches to. I admit it's a bit nasty out now, snow is packed down and slick on top. he was turning in and said it wouldn't turn just went straight into my fence. if he would have went faster or forward another 4 feet he would have hit the house, not even 4 more like 3 feet probably. If he was over a bit more he would have rear ended dad's truck in my driveway.

Just my luck.

I got the gate tied up with a ratchet strap to keep them together, the lock rod that goes into the ground looks like a question mark "?" only upside down. I also had to tie the chain link back to the bottom pole of the gate to keep my dogs in. Guess it's another thing to fix when it gets warm.

Came home yesterday to find my mailbox jacked up, think somebody hit it too.

Dang fella.
You know statistics show that most vehicle accidents happen within 25 miles of home. It may be time for you to move.

Re: Got a late birthday present, not a good one either..

Kinda late on the thread but my 88 got sideswiped by a motorcycle, looks like a naasty key mark all the way to primer in some parts, also my mother in laws neighbor cut her dirt with a weed eate (I'd say grass but the only grass they have is a small patch u can cut with school scissors) well she was trimming n launched a rock right into my rear window.... Some luck I had about 25-30$ worth of stickers on my window

Re: Got a late birthday present, not a good one either..

Btw Chris that's my truck in my avatar took that pic when I took my wife to the beach, that's her good side... Now she has a huge dent on her driver side fender, courtesy of a hit and run... I don't understand how someone can back up into a black truck.. I mean it's not David Blaine and just appeared behind them lol
