My project crew cab
This project has taken a lot years and has taken a new turn in the last year but I am still having fun with it. It started in 2003 when I picked this truck Then I tore it down to the frame cleaned and painted the frame, got another cab from a 89 crew cab swapped out the dash for the 76 dash. up.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1291936551

Re: My project crew cab
Nice work man. You've got me thinking about a crew cab now. I think my next daily driver will either be a crew or a suburban.

Re: My project crew cab
Then last year I picked up a shortened 4x4 crew cab frame, diffs, trany, and a np 205 transfer case. I also picked up a 89 suburban with a 6.2 diesel and a banks turbo.

Re: My project crew cab
This past summer most of my time and money went into my shop, finishing the inside got the floor cemented with in floor heat lines. But I could not get the boiler yet so, it's still cold for the winter. So I probably won't work on the truck until spring or summer.

Re: My project crew cab
Great work so far! Me likes it a lot Did you cut the bed like that, or what? That is exactly how the company (CVI)cut the long beds to make the extended cab square bodies from 84-87. I have one, and the bed looks just like yours!

Re: My project crew cab
Thanks, Ya I cut the box like that. I got the frame from a friend and he had cut the frame in the middle only. I like the way it looks like that.

Re: My project crew cab
On the weekend I installed a wood stove so I could get back to working in my shop, nice and toasty now. I am going to start with cleaning up my motor and getting it painted up, don't have a lot of cash right now so the build will be slow but it feels good to be working on it again.

Re: My project crew cab
Thanks!
I am currently working on finishing shortening my box and working on getting rear burban fuel tank installed, I was hoping to use my 40 gal tank but it's a little to long so I will have to get a 31 gal tank.
