i just bought 1 2003 z71 for $1400 it was a deal i couldnt pass up the only thing is the truck wont shift into 3rd gear, it shifts into 1st and 2nd fine i was wondering if that would be the 2nd 3rd solenoid or if the tranny was just junk

Most likely it is your 3-4 clutch. Pull your pan and if it has clutch material in the bottom then is the 3-4 clutch. most common. I just bought a 96 sub for 500 buck with the same problem. Son put it on the bench and one hour later he was sticking it back in the suburban. Worked fine. DanO
