People have been interested in this, so I thought I would scan the 72 Brochure for people. I found it in my 1972 Chevrolet Truck Sales Guide. By the way, it is for sale

That's an Opel GT on the far right of the last picture!!!! TOWING!!!!

Granted, it's towing a pair of bicycles, but still...the boys at OpelGT.com are gonna see that one.

Look at the hood, look at the rectangle headlight doors. There is no scoups above the bumper like opel gt's had. Also, the bumper is to pointed for an opel bumper. Also look at the back window sails. Opels did not have that either. Opels had 1/4 windows and the vettes did not. As for the lack of the mirror? It is an artist rendition of a Corvette, not a photo.

I know Opel was marketed by GM, but why would it be on a Chevy Brochure?

Yup, just too late...and I already did a bit of looking...it seems that the missing mirror may not just be an artist error. Between that and the scaling compared to the car next to it, though... (of course, comparing it to the Sub makes it look more like a 'Vette...)

By the way, my girlfriend thought the puppies were really cute.

And why would they be on a Chevy brochure? Who knows, stranger things have happened with those cars.

I didn't realize how easy us '67-'72 nuts have it until my girlfriend got that GT...looking into it, it's amazing what those guys do to get non-Opel parts to work/fit (because Opel parts are rare, generally not that great, and EXPENSIVE)...Chevy S10 clutches, 305 pistons for upping the 1.9 to 2.4 (custom crank too), and that's just the simpler stuff...

Why is it that some can see it but others see RED XXXXX?
This happens on both my work PC (I can understand that one) and my home PC ????? Anybody else have this problem?

So do you think my 72, with a 350 and the original 3 spd manual with 3:73 gears should be able to tow a 6000lbs trailer without any problems?? Anything I would have to add to the truck to be able to do this?
