Need some help here.

ok here it is i inherited a 1974 chevy c20 2wd Long Bed 3/4 ton 350 4bbl quadrajet AT and it has not been touched it many ...... Many years, about 30. Its in need of a little tune up hahaha

can i get some recommendations of things you would do to make it run as good as it can

my priorities are Mpgs and reliability. "its my daily driver"

also im 16 and not rolling in money don't tell me to pull the motor.

(im look for a long list. things i can do over time)

i have read countless threads on this message board and am very happy with the things that are freely shared.

Re: Need some help here.

Tuneup, check timing and tire pressure. Change fluids. And suck it up, because it still wont get great gas mileage.

Re: Need some help here.

expect 10-12 mpg empty with a tailwind.
expect less than 8 hauling loads or hauling a**
74 should have HEI, so make sure you do a basic tuneup.
if you want to increase mileage and performance, your first modification should be the exhaust system.
