Why don't you just use the driver side hinges? The door opens the same way.

i dont know about the hinge, but that looks awesome.
are you going to have a B piller with both latches, or are you going to do something like a honda element, where the rear door latches on the roof and floor areas, and the front door latches to the rear?

Dropped the door parts at the 'dip' shop today that we cut off the pickup. I went ahead and dropped the hinges, too. We will try to use the original hinges.
For the latches, we got a back door off of a Silverado and will use the internals for the top & bottom latches, and yes the front door will use a bear claw and latch to the new rear door.

I've got the stock ones in my truck now and they do work but don't let the door open as far as one would like. I cut the whole door post out of a junk cab and swapped side to side hinges and all when I did it. If you are using a left door as the back door it will probably work ok though.

WOW, after looking at it I see what he did and what a bunch of work he has in that. My doors open just about the same as he has that door sitting on the brake stool.

Tried the ole stock hinge trick, but you were correct, they don't open enough. Also, the curve isn't quite right. Ordered the CC hinges from the ebay ad, thanks MR48CHEV!

Does anyone make a suicide door kit for the tri 5 truck? I do most of my own work, but i dont want to reinvent the wheel either.

you might want to start a new thread

for the record; tri 5 refers to 55-57 chevy cars, chevy didn't make a tri 5 truck
chevy task force trucks, 55 thru 59 uses the same cab for a 5 year run
and no... penta 5 doesn't work either
