Re: Which power steering pump are you guys using?

I'm looking at the March Revolver style setup... Move the alternator over to the passenger side and the power steering up to where the alternator was. I think most are using power steering pumps from a 60's Impala? as the pulleys can be pulled off easier.

Just not paying the $1500 for it... will be making up my own.

Cheers,
Ted.

Re: Which power steering pump are you guys using?

I have a question, about power steering, that I am planning on putting on my 51 Chevy 3600. I have a magazine from Harmon's Classic Chevrolet. They have a conversion kit that gives all of the parts required. Also you have to modify your steering column. I have found a steering box, which they say,you can use a 69thru87 Chevy 1/2 ton steering box. I am also picking up a power steering pump, off of a 86 Chevy Van. Now my question,is there anyone out there, can tell me what steering column to use. I have now,a 72 Chevelle Wagon steering column, that previous owner converted to operate into the original steering box. I was wondering if I can use the steering column I now have which is a 72 Chevelle Wagon? Thanks,I hope I haven't put too much in my orignal question.
