dash ?
there are three holes about1/2 in size on the bottom of my dash one under the glove box one just to the left of the heater levers and one to the left of the wheel you cant see them from strait on you have to look up at them from the floor i was just wondering what they are for i was going to fill them in but thought they might be something i may need in the future

I don't know the answer as to "what" their purpose is, but my 63 has the same three holes. My thoughts about filling them is "out of sight, out of mind," but if you really want them filled, you could go to Lowe's and get some half-inch stainless caps and just pop them in place.

I don't know the definitive answer either. Perhaps they were punched at the factory for dealer installed accessories like the early 4 way flasher, tissue dispenser, fire extinguisher, add on A/C, or hanging warning lights in a big rig application. If not, they may have been for used in manufacturing, perhaps to transport or hold the dash while it was being welded in place.

thats sounds like a good option thanks i just took some pics of them will post later tonight and see if any one knows what they were for. i iam one of them courious types i wont be totally happy untill i find that out. but i do really like your idea instead of filling them

i think i lke the tissue paper option my wife will love it. she carrys klinex were ever she goes and there in every auto we own

On the left side the smaller holes "Might" have been for a 4-Way Hazard Switch, (thats seems to be a "normal" location for them) but in the past 10 yrs. I've never seen any option that would be needed to make the larger holes. THe PO must/Might have done a unique thing?

well thanks for every ones thoughts i guess i will just cap them and just make up stories of what they were for. like they were buttons for the optional rocket launcher
