Figuring out ride height of truck with everything stripped off the frame?

I stripped everything off of my bent frame and now have no idea what ride height - actually, the frame height should be once the truck is back together. This wouldn't be a concern if I was keeping the suspension stock, but I'm building my own rear suspension and would like to guesstimate a frame height so I can design the proper static link angles into it.

Any feedback / ideas / suggestions besides telling me I'm a dummy?

TIA,

Scot

Mocking everything up is the only way if custom building stuff.

I like to find a truck that sits good (for my taste) & take some measurements from the center-line of the F/R cab mounts & @ the bottom of the rails @ convenient measuring points extreme F/R (ex: under the front frame horns & tail end of the frame).

This can be done via the internet (this site) as well. Find someone on the board that has the stance you like. Send them a PM for some measurements to help w/your build. That should give you a starting point for where your rails need to be.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
