lowering

I own a 81 short step side, and would like to lower it 2 or 3 inches , lower spindles and shackles , Is there a source online to buy from, or does the online stores like Brothers sell good stuff? is 2 to 4 inch a good choice to use for a every day driver.

Re: lowering

i lowerd mine 2 1/2 in the front and 3 in the back. i used spindals in the front and shackels + removed helper leaf in the rear. its a pretty nice ride hight but i still plan to go another 3 inches lower front and back. idk how it rides because its not road legal yet next summer.

Re: lowering

The most common method is spindles and springs up front, and shackle and hanger in the rear. A 2/4 drop is rather mild, so you won't have any issues for daily use.
Take a look in our Vendor Marketplace for great deals on suspension parts.
