49 3 speed trans ????
Does any one know if the 3 speed trans will bolt to a standard chevbell housing
(saginaw 4 bolt pattern) do they make a yoke that will bolt to the trans to run a open drive line? I would like to use the trans with the small block chevy and Ford 9" rear end. I look forward to hearing from anyone on this issue. Thanks, CORSAIR

It will bolt up to the engine & I believe there is an aftermarket adapter to hook up a driveshaft but why. That trans would not last very long behind a V-8. The gear ratios are awful. It is noisey in the lower gears. This would be a good chance to put in a better trans.

thanks for the info I was thinking the same thing. I have a turbo 350 just thought it would be kinda retro with the stock trans?
