1979 chevy c10 lwb big10
Hi i have a 1979 chevy c10 long bed that i bought for a project truck. It has a 350 engine,turbo 350 trans, and a 12bolt rear end with i think 3.54 gears.
I just bought to give me something to do and to have fun. I have always liked 73-87 chevy trucks. I blew the engine in it a stock 79 and down 350, I bought the truck in september and blew the engine about a month ago, the engine is ready to pull, and i taking this week off from work. I have a 1988 tbi 350 engine that i saved from a parts truck, that i plan to stab in my c10 just to get me by for now.So that i dont loose interest in the truck, and so it does not just sit. I have been piling up some parts now to build the truck, moog pitman arm moog idler arm moog upper and lower ball joints all new moog tie rod ends timken wheel bearings western chasis flip kit western chasis 3" drop springs, that i am not going to use The truck still has all 4 stock shocks on it,and ball joints.I still need to buy some drop spindles for it. I plan to drop the truck some, plan is western chasis flip kit in the rear and 2.5" drop spindles in the front and most likley a 1 inch drop coil. and btw i will only be running 15" wills, i do not like big wheels not my style. Any advice would be appreciated I have always been a 4x4 guy, I dont have any past experience with lowerd trucks. Last edited by red97k1500; 12-26-2010 at 09:58 PM. |
