5.3/6.0 Questions

Hi guys I have engine swap questions. If I am wanting to put the 5.3 or 6.0 engine in my 57 gmc can you bolt a trans behind it from an earlier style small block? I have a 4 speed from a 69 camaro I would love to use but was wanting the newer style efi engine (my friend has a 6.0 for sale). If it bolts up are there any issues I need to be aware of,such as speed sensor problems or anything??

I have a lq4 6.0 in my 52 and researched this topic. I went with a T56 six speed so it bolted up to the LS engine. Quicktime makes a bell-housing to use a early four speed or turbo style transmission. Others vendors offer or make the same bell-housing. Check out the transmission section over at
ls1tech.com. You will find specific answers to this questions at this site.
