Are there many shippers that can handle trucks that don't run? I've noticed a couple trucks out west that I'm interested in and are affordable enough to make shipping an attractive option (if competitive shippers have winches).

Certainly, it does add to the shpping cost, but a lot of shippers do it. PM Mike (Fine69) on this message board. He used to ship trucks, not sure if he still does but he certainly is into old cars and would be a great person to have caring for your truck on it's haul.

You can absolutely find a shipper to handle that non running truck, but find out what kind of truck they'll use first. I had a stripped out Blazer tub and chassis shipped from WY to IL earlier this year and it cost me $700-$800 and it came on a flat bed semi. Fortunately I had a four post lift to roll the truck onto off of the flat bed trailer.... not sure what I would've done if I didn't have that, though.
