Re: kick panels for speakers

You could always do what the PO of mine did.....cut out holes in your current kick-panels and then cut holes in the bottom of the cab to mount them in..... I wouldn't advise doing that though

Re: kick panels for speakers

If you just want standard speakers, you can cut a hole in the stock kick panel and mount the speakers flush. You can also mount speakers in homemade painted boxes in the cab corners behind the seat. I am OK with mine that way, but I do not blast out the tunes. I also have my 6 CD changer mounted in the behind the seat homemade storage shelf shown in the pic on the steps.

Where you thinking of cutting the stock kick-panels and cut a hole in the cab? I know you decided against it but I was just wondering...cause this is what I ended up having...

Re: kick panels for speakers

I don't. Plan on getting them put in this weekend. You can see the same one we got on crutchfield. We held them up and they are going to look sharp. His interior is black and the grain on these match really well.

Yo!
You could build these,...
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=301610&page=7
starts at post #162.
They were EASY, sound great, and look pretty good (even if I do say so, myself!).
It's nice having that much speaker in each corner and I didn't have to cut up my doors or the panels (mine are original factory, and irreplaceable green!).
Happy New Year!
Todd.
