I myself (title edited, please do not circumvent language filters)
So a little while back I sold a guy a smal window cab, no title, in decent shape for $200. Pretty fair deal, right?
Today I was sorting pictures on my computer to make things easier to find and saw this pic of the old cab:

Re: I F*d myself
I dawned on me then that the cab had come off a truck that was converted to 5 lug and had disc brakes and that this is a manual disc/drum master cylinder. I'd really like to have it back on my shelf...

Re: I F*d myself
Make yourself feel better and just think of it as a drum/drum master..

Re: I F*d myself
I still beat myself up over selling my 68 chevelle for 500 bucks in '86 instead of rebuilding it.

Re: I F*d myself
Hey ...I sold a running Edsel Ranger for $75.00 inn 1977 and worse than that I sold a beautiful Ford California Special with new tires and perfect body for $1500 in 1983 and a Mercury Cyclone for $750 in 1982. A few more that I wish I still had even if they were that wretched F product.

Re: I F*d myself
Johnny, thanks for the window trim. It looks great and I will make great use of it. As long as we're feeling bad, my Father in law was storing his beautifully painted blue '67 GTO at my house a few years ago. It was all restored mechanically and paint, just not the interior. I asked him to store it somewhere else, so he sold it for $4000.

Re: I F*d myself
Really $4,000! I would have given him more than that...like $4,100 or so.
I'm glad you're happy with the trim, I was wondering about that. I think I unf**ed myself today, though. I found the guys number and gave him a shout. He said "no problem, I'll pull it off and drop it off to you on my way home from work Sunday morning"

Re: I F*d myself
Okay if it makes you all feel better......
Call me when the body shop leaves your 1969 Z/28 outside in a wind storm...and....and...( dry gulp ) a fricken tree lands on the roof .....then we can talk about it. My paint job is a tad more complicated now then it was going to be, my kids went into hiding for 2 weeks, and the beer guy now has me on a weekly route. Yes there were pictures taken, no I am not going to post them and I choose to think of this expierence as a good time to do Rotisserie upgrade instead of just the change of color I was thinking. |

Re: I F*d myself
Looks like a 72 master, probably cheaper just to get a rebuilt one from the parts house.

Re: I F*d myself
I sold my '64 for like $300-400 like a year ago thinking it would be a long time before I'd have a chance to work on a truck. It was a POS but had a great frame/suspension, and a fixable bench seat among some other little things... now I have my brothers '62 and I wish I had that '64 frame / suspension to drop this truck on, and the bench seat, etc.
