Post Hurst shifter?

I got a NP203 with a Hurst shifter on it. Factory too. I also have three others sitting in back that don't have Hurst's on them. Why would this one have a Hurst shifter especially on the transfer case?

that is listed as stock in the auto encyclopedia and mine has one too. My friends 77 has another type on his 203 not the hurst.
