Re: Stephen's 59

Interesting treatment with the fleetside spears running into the doors, I like it. Can't figure out the bed, looks like a long bed that had the back shortened.

Re: Stephen's 59

I've seen that truck on the HAMB. I love how he carried the bedside spear all the way into the door, and also how he worked the transistion between the bed and the cab. The cab tapers at the rear, and if you don't address it, the Fleetside or Cameo beds look funny because they don't line up. That's why the Cameos had the chrome strip between the two.

I like the double taillights, too. That's something the factory should have considered.

Re: Stephen's 59

Nice truck, has a lot of work that isn't to obvious at first. Makes me want to dust the cobwebs off my 59 project (haven't touched it in a few years).

Re: Stephen's 59

What rear end did he use? I have a 59 and i am trying to find a good swap for it. Also, what is that Steering column out of and what year wheel is that...looks like an aftermarket wheel...I don't remember the Impala wheels being that small. Looks tight!

I used a 10 bolt out of a 66 Malibu. was just a hair more narrow, perfect for a more reversed rim.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I'm trying to get Stephen on here so he can answer your questions. I do know that The green is primer. The rear end is a Camaro 10 Bolt Limited Slip. The steering wheel is off a 59 Impala. The steering collumn is an after market. The bed is a short bed with a 6" cut out of the rear seam.
