Anyone bought the LMC cargo lamp ?

For the mid 80's chevy cabs.. i bought mine and the mounting hardware for the lamp assembly is kind of weird, nothing like the original one...anyone else has bought this that can show me how the hell it goes..

If I had to guess (which I am) you drill a hole for that rubber plug to fit snugly then slide it in, Then install the screw threw the light base and into the threads in the rubber. As you snug the screw it swells the rubber for a tight weather proof seal, But don't over tighten it.

^That's how they work..i've used them before...I'd put some masking tap down, put tha light base up there, mark tha holes, center punch it, then drill out with a bit that matches, prime tha drilled holes, slip them in..

I got mine from LMC, the inserts you pictured would be for if your add'n the light. drill two holes that they will slide in snugly and when ya tight'n the screw they swell up and hold it tight.

Re: Anyone bought the LMC cargo lamp ?

I bought one of their lights and mine is like the one you have. I thought about using a newer model 3rd brake/ cargo light instead. Has anyone out there updated theirs? I don't mean to take your thread!
