newer 60/40 bench.. what seat belts to use

Hi,

I have the newer style 60/40 bench seat in my truck (the one with the holes in the bench seat for the seat belts to go through)

What seat belts are you guys using for this bench seat. I really like the looks of the older metal gm seat belts, but they don't have the retractor, or shoulder belts.

So please let me know what you recommend. Also if you have pic's that would really be helpful

Thanks

Tom

I dont have an answer but was wondering what other seatbelts could be used in place of stock ones. I like the retractable and shoulder harness ones.

Some are using the 3-point harness from the S10. I used the belts tht came from the C1500 my seat came from.

I used new ones from truckandrv.com (cause I'm a cheapskate), but I too like the look of the ones with the chrome flip up buckles. I had looked hard at the offereings from this place. They have about every kind of seat belt I could think of.

If your seat sits higher than stock, and if you are tall in the body (as I am), watch for seatbelts that don't come down too far off the bolt for the shoulder part. My belts come down about 6-8 inches, and that puts the top of the belt just a little low for me.

I used the S10 Shoulder belts ,you have to make a bracket to bring them out a couple of inches.

Cool Seat Belts

I used the late model full size seat belts. I installed all of them both shoulder harness and center lap belt.
Here is a picture of it, it's not that good of a picture but.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I did the same as Palf70Step and Andy4639 with the late model chevy full size belts. They were very easy to put in , no spacers needed and they still lock up properly if you install them right ( probably most important is that they lock for you with brakes on) Id show pic but still cant get scanner to work. There is enough colors to match almost anything at the wreckers.
