Red and White truck questions

Good after new ladies and gentlemen. I hope everyone is having a great start to 2011! I'm painting my truck red and white and found the picture below on the forums. I am curious if it is a board members? What color and code is the red? What drop and tire size? As always any pictures of other examples of red and white trucks please post.

Looks good. What color red? The painter I am using has a paint system made by matrix so if anyone knows codes for the matrix systems that would be even better.

Re: Red and White truck questions

the top truck belongs to the guy that designed wheels for boyd coddington. he now has his own wheel company. his company name is on the front lisc. plate. there is a build in one of the classic truck mags

That truck was built by Mike Curtis.

He was the machinist on the TV show "American Hot Rod" with Boyd Coddington.

I'd bet that is Torch Red, a current Corvette color. Here's a pic of mine, which was just painted TR.

I will have to look it up tomorrow. It is PPG base coat/clear coat. The White is 1956 Chevy India Ivory. I included a pic of my '39 Ford Coupe which is painted with Matrix System "Cherry Red" MPB-73308 56 "Bright System" paint. If you need the codes I can get them off the can.

Re: Red and White truck questions

Torch Red has more orange in it. I think its Victory Red and Olympia White. Both are GM colors. At least that's what I used on my Burb. Here's a few pics...

ECE 3.5/5 drop Coys C5 18X8 and 18X9.5, 255/45-18, 275/45-18. No mods, except had to put a spacer on the front wheel caps to get them to clear the bearing covers.

The Victory Red came on '96 chevy trucks, if that helps any.
