2wd front crossmember for 72 K10?

Hello:

The front crossmember on the frame of my 72 K10 is trashed from what looks like a prior towing attempt and I want to replace it. Will a 2wd 67-72 crossmember from a 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck be a direct replacement in my 4wd? I suspect it is. I searched older posts but couldn’t find an answer.

I’m stuck in the snow in Mass daydreaming about my truck back in New Mexico.

Thanks

Pete
