Smooth Bumper question?

So im really interested in the New smooth chrome bumper Top Banana is offering but i have som questions?
1. Ive heard from some ppl that when they make their own the studs they fill the holes with pull out? any evidence of this on these?
2. I want to run the factory style bumper guards on my truck so will they fit with these bumpers?
3. Got burnt on the bumpers on my Jimmy due to rust thru? whats the quality of the chrome and is there a warranty on them?

Love the looks of them and most likely going to buy one this spring

Re: Smooth Bumper question?

I ordered a bumper and I was not satisfied with the quality of the chrome there were pits and it is suppose to be a smooth bumper but there was two holes on the bottom and there was very little chrome around the holes so I beleive that they would rust. They did allow me to return it at their cost. I did like the look but not the quality, maybe I just got a bad one.

Re: Smooth Bumper question?

Hey Fastfun, What bumper do you have on this truck right now? Just wondering because I was in on the inspection of the bumper you sent back and I agree they are two holes at the bottom of the bumper that are used to hang the bumper by during the chrome process. We can not do nothing about that if anyone is wanting a chrome bumper. If you look the bumper on your truck has the same two holes. Anyway the bumper we received back had never had the shipping coating removed from it. So this bumper was never cleaned up to be installed. The so called pitting you seen was were they put a clear coat like coating on the back side to keep them from rusting on the back side. That coating splatters and some of it gets on the front side which again requires that the bumper be cleaned and chrome polished before install. If any one would like to see the bumper Fastfun sent back you are more than welcome to stop in Top Bananas Show Room and see it on display. Yes it is our Display Smoothie! Thanks Tim

WOW! Thats pretty impressive customer service. I don't know of many (any ?) companies that will pay the return cost if a customer isn't satisfied.

That exact bumper is now hanging on our showroom wall. A minute and a half with a can of "Never-Dull" and a towel and it looks awesome

Re: Smooth Bumper question?

i dont think the smooth bumper allows for the use of the stock bumper guards since they r attached by bumper bolts

I think cdowns is right.

also Bigblu not trying to be an asshole to ya, but whats the worry about getting a smooth bumper if you want to run the guards i just dont see the reason for the smooth bumper.

Re: Smooth Bumper question?

Kokomoooo, They are made in Taiwan and in my opinon the chrome is nicer than other aftermarket bumpers on the market. Sorry for the confusion. We can not police the board all day we all have work we have to get done but are more than Glad to answer any questions. Please call toll free 1-877-654-2287 if you have any more questions. Re: Smooth Bumper question?

But, if YOU have the answer and YOU have been active in the post whats the problem? We are all here to help each other with projects. Atleast that is the way its suppose to be.

If you are the VENDOR and you ignore the people in the post, you will throw up a red flag everytime for most of the people who read the posts who may consider buying anything. If you (the reader) dont see a red flag then, keep rolling the dice and we may read something in Bad Deals soon....It does happen even to vendors on the board...

Thanks Tim,

Smitty

you could buy a paint to match one, pre-drill for your guards, and get it plated

So, I have been reported, and censored for trying to get a question answered?

I don't understand that one.

I am sure that the people at Top Banana are good people to deal with,if they weren't it would be all over the boards, and I'm not trying to start a pissing contest, I was trying to get an answer to a legitimate question.

You can read my previous post to see that yes I was a serious customer.
