Bit the bullet...

and registered my 77 Silverado. I had it for sale and didn't have any bites, so I decided to shell out the cash and make it mine! No I just have to come up with an intake (non-egr) and a left side exhaust manifold w/A.I.R. tubes. Then I can put it back together! Here are the pics of the truck.

Re: Bit the bullet...

Cool!!! I remember you talking about wanting to scrap / sell the truck. It's too nice to get rid of. Plus, if I recall correctly, the price was free right?

Free isn't a bad price, invest a few dollars and you'll have a nice ride.

Just about any SBC AIR tube setup should work. Even OE exhaust manifolds of 3rd gen camaro will work. Replace check valves as springs go bad with age.

Re: Bit the bullet...

Thanks. I seem to lose motivation too quickly these days....probably 'cause I dont see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore. So I hope to 'MAKE' myself push forward with this one.

Re: Bit the bullet...

Spend a couple days sanding it as smooth as possible, and get a good coat of primer on it. Being one solid color will make a huge difference in looks. Maybe a set of late model factory wheels and caps to give it a more aggressive look.
