Smile project "never enough"

Sooo...this is my first post on this forum. Ive been religiosly watching and looking thru the site and I must say I LOVE IT...anyways throught this time Ive been working on my own project its a 70 CST10 swb.....the truck I always wanted but could never find one. Ive had several that I've been thru like a 53 chopped new yorker, a laid out 68 Caddy Coupe De Ville, and a rodded 66 Lincoln Continental coupe. Finally decided to make the choice to part ways with the old and get what I truely wanted, a 67-72. The pics Ill post are kinda random and here and there but it seems that every time I think that Im on the downhill part of the build I get re-inspired to do something else. Any advice and pointers are welcom as well as harsh truth. here is what the truck looked like when I bought it. alot of these pics are from my cell phone so pardon the crappy shots

Re: project "never enough"

So the wheels are heading out to powdercoat to have the centers done in gloss black. The little rivets are plastic because its a welded 2-Piece forged wheel so Im going to punch out all the rivets and thread the holes to accept a red aluminum bolt. Im open to different ideas on the rivets but definetly want to stay with a red what do you think about the bolt? I can also get a a recesed allen bolt with washer to flush mount the hardware too.in the same color.

Thanks, I definetly did not want a set of some type of 5 spoke or vintage style wheel, they look great and set off the truck dramatically especially bagged or customs but unfortunatly everyone has done it and very few have stepped outside that style so I figure if im going to spend that kind of money on wheels than I want to be different but still tasteful. Fesler is one of the few c10 style trucks or suv's that did something with a multi-spoke forged wheel on his blazer but his are Asanti wheels and he is lucky enough to have his name on it. You will love it more when Im done with it....its going to be a super clean resto-mod done right from the ground up and reliable, this thing is going to get driven and isnt gonna end up on craiglist because someone hacked it up...lol. The wheels should turn out nice when done, I think the red race bolts will really set them off against the black and polished lips. I will post pics of the truck when I can show off some progress....I have a bunch but dont want to post them until I can post another showing foward movement. The best way to describe the final outcome will be a mix between the "shop truck" that carter hickman did for Nate at porterbuilt and the truck that Superflysteiny is building for his pops.

Re: project "never enough"

I will have to delete them, they worked yesterday. its pictures of the bolts that im putting on the wheels after powdercoat. If you go to www.tastynuts.com or known as pro bolt they make anodized red race hex bolts, they have every nut and bolt you can think of in aluminum---lots of colors and stainless along with titanium in colors...I used them a ton on my race bike.
