Re: header question
As long as they are not off a Throttle body engine I believe they will, most folks try to go with the old school stock cast exhaust headers I cannot remember what they call them, or you could do like I did and buy aftermarket headers (they need to have a 3/8 flange and be coated (HBI coating) I bought some new off of craigs list in Okc for $225.00 I used the ones for a 68 Camaro or nova. Here is a link as to how they fit. I cannot remember the company name but can find it for you if you are interested.

Re: header question
yes they will work, I have a 1960 drag truck with stock front suspension for now. It is the torsion bar suspension, the headers just barely touched the torsion bars, so I took a big cheater bar and stuck in the header and slightly bent it toward the center of the truck and now I have about a 1/2 inch which is plenty

Re: header question
Your '60 GMC has a hydraulicly operated clutch, so that isn't an issue with header fitment

Re: header question
Yes I do remember that you have an auto trans, but the '60-'63 GMC's came originally with a hydraulic clutch when equipped with a manual trans. Consequently your truck will be easily converted over to a hydraulic clutch. Additionally I have the conversion to run power brakes and a hydraulic clutch on your truck. Given the option, I would run a hydraulic clutch over a mechanical clutch.

Re: header question
I think they worked just fine. Did you realize that pretty much all manual trans GM vehicles since the mid 80's have used hydraulic clutches? Probably a good reason for that. If you want to go that direction, I can show you what you will need.
