Reggie Jackson's '57 Chevy hi-po business coupe

Reggie's warehouse is in Costa Mesa, not far from My office in Irvine around the corner from Source Interlink's new location. Not that anybody asked, but what the heck. My first car was a '57 Bel-Air, and that was my favorite car right from 1957 when I was 5-years old. That said I took some flicks of Reggie's '57 150 business coupe that is the same color I painted my '57, in '68.

Reggie's is a real plane Jane, except for the dual-quad 283 / 270-hp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only difference between the Black Widow, and Reggie's is the Black Widow was a 283 / 283hp FI car?

Everything was covered with plastic, so it was little hard to take photos. There also was a '66 Chevelle El Camino with a 375hp 396, 4-speed, buckets, with 3,400 orig miles.

Black Widows also used a 6-lug truck rearend and heavier suspension than stock. HiPo 150s are super cool!

Man, my office is in Irvine, and all I get to see are Cadillac CTS's and soccer moms Mercedes.

email me at john.gilbert@sorc.com I know exactly what you're talking about, but there is an old car / truck underground I can turn you onto. Also I'm in a private building where we can drink beer, and smoke cigars if we want to... No cabbage burritos, or deviled-egg mikshakes though.

Rene, I'd love to make it to Turlock, that's our friend with the COE right? but I'll be working day and night trying to knock out this Spotter's Guide... Man, there's a lot to this!

Man, I hate to miss the party, especially the food!
