I'm planning out on doing a disc conversion swap on my 66 from drum/drum to disc/drum.

What the heck am I supposed to do for brake lines? I currently have a single chamber master cylinder and I'm swapping to a dual with prop valve.

btw I'm not buying a kit, I'm piecing my own together. I've got 90% of the parts already.

you can buy rolls of anodized steel pipe from napa with fitings and a flare tool its easy and cheap...

How do I bend those? Do I use hand tools or do I need bigger scale stuff?

EDIT: NVM a bit of google and I found some videos and how-to's.

On our 53 chevy, we carefuly took the old ones off, measured em (fittings too) and got new, and reinstalled everything nicely.

On my truck i pieced it together and looks like crap. Im ashamed

autozone carries copper line that wont rust thru, looks good and is amazingly easy to bend!!!

copper is a nono in an environment that vibrates.

as said, get you some 3/16 line and get to bending and double flaring.

you could use stainless but its a b-word to flare without splitting.

The simplest way to do it is to use all of the lines from a 73-87 truck. On my 63, I used every single line and hose from an 80 model front to rear along with a new 80 model replacement master cylinder. It all bolts on to the early trucks fine. The proportioning valve will fall right into place on the little crossmember under the radiator. Just lay the lines in place and you'll see what I mean.

get a flaring tool kit with bender, they bend pretty easy...

Why not just get straight lines from your local auto parts store? They come in various lengths and have a nice anti-corrosion coating on them.
