Re: Forum member discount
we don't. We're not giving up but our fabricator dissapeared after I criticized his last effort. We're trying to get a bumper into another fabricators hands that wants to work on this project and the bumper will happen

Re: Forum member discount
I know I could ask this question in your contact page, but I figured I'd ask here so maybe it can be answered for others that might also be wondering.
I'm shopping on your site and putting things in my cart, and figured I'd see what shipping costs would be, and I found something odd. If I put 1 rocker panel in my cart the shipping cost is $12.65 but if I add another, the shipping cost jumps to $50.36. That's an additional $38 dollars to ship the second one. I think there's something wrong. Instead, I could checkout with just the one and pay the $12.95 shipping. Then go back and order the other side and get them both for just a little over $25 total shipping.

Re: Forum member discount
Actually this is a great place to bring it up. The way that the link between the site and UPS Worldship works is dependant on an algorithym that has to caluculate how best to pack multiple pieces and then match those dimensions up with available shipping containers that we've defined. Sometimes a specific combination of parts will return a container that's much larger than what's necessary because you can't explain to the computer that some items fit inside other items (it sees every set of product dimensions as a block). In this case I have re-verified the product dimensions and created a box specifically the size of the added parts and it STILL comes out as costing more to ship together than two individual shipments. That can be true when it trips the "Oversize" triggers but that's not the case on these rockers. That is when we ask customers to implement "Plan B" by calling us, or posting here, or adding a note to their order to indicate that it seems high. We can reduce the shipping cost on your order once we've packed/weighed/measured the box that the parts are actually shipping in before capturing the funds from your card.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. If you want to have fun with the website and spend the rest of the day scratching your head like I am do the same routine with '67-'72 rockers where the freight DROPS when you add the second rocker......computers

Re: Forum member discount
Do these panels go from the firewall seam up front to the far rear corner? 1-0848-227 '60-'66 CHEVROLET OUTER CAB FLOOR, DRIVER'S SIDE
How wide are these panels measured from the kick panels? I just need to know before pulling the trigger on the parts needed. Thanks in advance!
