Need help on tire size

i want to keep my 15x8 rallys but want the wider look so i was wondering what it would look like with 295/50-15 tires but also was wondering would it affect anything if i ever decide to lower it lets say 2" in the front and 4" in the back?
pictures along with tire size and rim size would help me out alot thanks

I would do 255/60/15 in the front and 275/60/15 in the rear. I would think a 50 tire would be too fat for 15x8 rim. A 15x10 rear wheel with a 5 1/4 back space should fit nice under your wheel well on that 295/50/15.

Re: Need help on tire size

I decided to go with 255 6 front and 275 60 rear. Hopefully previous posts the front will fly with no rubbing being lowered by 5". With a 6cyl motor and 342 gears I'l need all the tire height I can get. I'll find out for sure in a few weeks if all goes as planned. I have nearly all the parts I need but I don't think I'm going to register it till April.

IMO I would go with 60 series tire on a 15" wheel. to me 50s don't look right and they'll be too small.

Re: Need help on tire size

What mooseknuckles said...look at the two side by side at a tire shop, the 50's look really short.
I just put 275/60/15's on 15 x 8 rallys on the back of my ****, and it looks ( . ) ( . )'s
I wish i could fit them on the front, but i've got a 4.5" drop up front...I'll put like a 235/ 60 15 on the front eventually.

These are 255/60 front and 275/60 rear BFG's on 15x8 Rallys at stock height.
