3/4 ton on 1/2 ton frame

Will the rear end / leaf springs and front disc brake setup fit on a 1/2 ton frame? Any drawbacks to doing this?

I have a 3/4 ton longhorn and a freshly painted 1/2 ton frame....originally I was going to keep the 1/2 ton drivetrain but really wouldn't mind having a 3/4ton shortbed...don't even mind the 8 lug rims etc. I think they look cool.

Re: 3/4 ton on 1/2 ton frame

a half ton frame is tinner than a normal 3/4 ton, and the C/20 longhorn is actually built on a one ton frame, so you'd be taking 2 steps down.
I don't know that the longhorn rear suspention would fit on the shorter frame rail.
