project close to original cst10 468
Hi everyone I'm Billy from NC, and I'm 19. I'm in college and working part time, with lots of help from my dads shop Wenk' Auto/Customs. At first I was going a original route but after I did this already with my orange truck I'm going the pro touring route. Ridetech and Budnik wheels are stepping to support the project as well. The plan is to run a bbc 468 with est. 660 hp backed by a gear vendors th400 with a 3.73 12 bolt. The suspension will consist of a RideTech stage 3 slowing down with Wilwood brakes. I'm gonna go pretty custom on the interior and exterior. I'm on a tight budget but my dad helps out here and there so it should be done in a few months. Here is Porterbuilts rendering but its pretty much the look I'm going minus shaved mirrors and bumpers etc. Thanks for checking it out.
Porterbuilt's truck but the idea I'm going with somewhat. Last edited by rideorange812; 03-11-2011 at 01:48 AM. |

Re: project close to original cst10 468
heres the bed disassemlbed and off for blast. i will pick it up sometime this week. hopefully all my s/s bolts come in front lmc this week and i can assemble my steering rack front suspension and disc brakes. im also dropping off the spindles tomorrow. than on the rear end springs and shocks. at this point i'm 2500 bucks in counting the price of the truck and parts misc bolts and new front end pieces.

Re: project close to original cst10 468
Nice starter! I wish I could throw 600 a week at my truck. I would be done. As of now, I'm still in teardown/cleanup/repair rust/primer stage.
