should i keep original axles?

K im building a 66 4x4 chevy right now and ive got my frame that im putting my body on stripped down to where the drivetrain is all thats left and im wondering what you guys think about the orignaly 60's axles its a danna 44 front and eaton rear they r 3.90 gears do you guys think i should keep them or put in a set of axles off a 77 i have that are dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear with 3.08 gears if i swap axles id probably swap suspension too so what are some pros and cons to both id love some more info on all this. i know the older ones r closed knuckle how will that affect the longevity of em?
