Five lug or six lug??
I am planning on ordering some dropped spindles and disc brakes. I am not sure if I should stick to 6 lug or change it over to 5 lug. Seems like there is a better selection in the 6 lug bolt pattern. I plan on running 20 or 22" rims. What do you guys think 5 or 6 lug?

Re: Five lug or six lug??
I personally like 5-lug wheels better.
You also have to be careful with 6-lug wheels. Most have a smaller center bore that fit's the 99-up Silverados,... and not these old trucks. (measure the center bore of the front hubs and the rear axles. They are huge) Of course, you have the option to have a custom set of billet wheels made.

Re: Five lug or six lug??
I myself would like to go 5 lug....just need more beer....umm I mean more funds..until then I am rolling 6 lugs.
As far as which has more selection?..I would have to say 5 lug, I have seen alot more styles in 5 lug patterns.

Re: Five lug or six lug??
Just my very humble opinion, five lug wheels give you more options as far as wheels go. cheers, Pat

Re: Five lug or six lug??
It's purely a wheel choice...find a wheel you like and go that route!

Re: Five lug or six lug??
If I couldn't have ordered these wheels with the 6x5.5 bolt pattern I would have reluctantly changed to 5-lug.

Re: Five lug or six lug??
I might just stick to the 6 lug for now. I really don't want to get the convertion axles or a wider rear end.

Re: Five lug or six lug??
I stuck with the 6 Lug only because I happened to run across a donor truck that Had the 6 Lugs I liked with it. most people do go to 5 Lug because of the choices they have.
