Anybody running one of these?

Scored this for my current build the other day. Wondering if anyone else is running one and how they like it. Previously I'd been using a factory HEI unit from a late 70's truck. Thanks!

Re: Anybody running one of these?

I had one in my truck before and I loved it, never had a problem with it till after I rewired my truck with the ezwiring and went to test everything it fried the module inside of two of them. but I wouldnt hesitate on putting another one in my truck. the one good thing about those are no bulky coil and cap on it like the HEI

good distributor, sold a lot of those when I worked at SuperShops.

Big this is to make absolutely sure that your wiring is good and at the correct voltage, if all of that is solid, you shoult never have a problem with it. However, I suggest having a spare module in the truck. I run a unilte and have never had any issues (7 years)...

Great dizzy. As other have already stated, just make sure you put a ballast resister.

John, What SS did you work at? I was there in the late 80's early 90's. Mostly Dallas are with a short time in Raleigh NC.

My main problem was the control mod frying all the time. I had the ballast resister and even took it to a auto electrical shop to have it checked out thay found nothing wrong with my wireing or voltage. They told me it they were a common site in their shop and they always ended up pulling the entire system. So I changed it out for the HEI when I got it home
