2004 2500 diesel wont start

Changed out fuel filter, put filter on with fuel and it wont start anymore,took it to a shop,they installed a crank sensor in it and it wont start, so took it the dealership and they claim they cant get it started either does any one have an idea what happened, this is on a 2500 hd diesel 2004

Loosen the bleed screw (arrow), pump the primer button until fuel comes out, tighten the bleed screw, Then pump the primer button until its hard to push down.
The dealer tech should have done this, but its worth a shot.
Diesels will not run with air in the fuel system.

Is your fuel system primed? Make sure the plastic bleeder screw didn't get cracked, it can leak air out and loose prime, I had this problem after changing my filter once, I ordered a replacement steel bleeder screw to fix it. Also hand primer pump is known to go out, making it difficult to prime.

I bought a non-vented style gas filler cap, drilled a hole in it, and installed a shrader valve. I would just loosen the bleeder screw, put the air hose on the tank, and use the air pressure to push the fuel up, and bleed the air out of the fuel lines, no pumping.

Also, my truck became hard/impossible to start when my injectors went out, but I don't think that would happen so suddenly and coincidentally with your filter change.
