Buying truck for trans. Anything else I should.....

My 70 has a 4spd and Im wanting to swap in an auto trans. I found a running, driving 77 for dirt cheap Im going to take the trans out of. Aside from the related trans parts what could I pilfer off the thing?

Disc brake swap for the front end.PS,Engine,PB booster and MC with prop valve.Battery,turn the bed/frame into a trailer for hauling junk.HEI.That's just off the top of my head.You may also want the reaR END SINCE THE RATIO WILL BE A BETTER MATCH FOR THE TRANNY(IT WILL NEED NEW SPRING PERCHES.

I had brake parts in mind, seat for my 47 coupe. Ill probably take anything that unbolts and scrap the rest. See what I can get sold on c.l. or at a swap meet

As PanelDeland said, the box and back half of the frame makes for a pretty good trailer and if the truck has a title it's pretty easy to run the trailer through the dmv and get a proper trailer title for it. You may be able to craigslist some of the leftover sheetmetal if it is decent or almost decent too. Anything above scrap price is money in your pocket.
